After Kedarnath, Congress Chief Rahul plans to visit Kailash Mansarovar

New Delhi: After escaping near to death flight experience, Congress Chief Rahul has decided to go on a pilgrimage trip to Kailash Mansarovar.

While speaking at ‘Jan Aakrosh’ rally on Sunday, Rahul said, “Two-three days ago, we were going to Karnataka in a plane. The plane nosedived, falling 8,000 feet. I thought ‘gaadi gayi’ (it’s over). Then as I thought ‘gaadi gayi’, it came to my mind that I want to visit Kailash Mansarovar. It was in my heart and I thought I will tell you.”

He added he has plans to go on a two-week-long trek to the Shiva shrine after his party wins the Karnataka elections, TOI reported.

The party chief has filed a complaint with Karnataka’s authorities to probe into the rough flight landing while he was on his way to Karnataka. The Civil aviation regulator is now probing into the matter of the rough flight landing despite good weather.

This ‘mannat’ to visit Kailash Mansarovar after facing near to death experience seems to strengthen Party’s image projecting itself as a Hindu party unlike what BJP had earlier alleged Congress of being an anti-Hindu party.

While addressing a media recently, Former Congress Chief Sonia also stated how BJP won by painting Congress as a “pro-Muslim’ party to steal the party’s vote share by manipulating Hindu community into believing Congress as an anti Hindu party.

Though Rahul has previously paid a visit to Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand, this ‘mannat’ is a continuation of him proving BJP’s allegations as false who had painted the Congress party as pro-Muslim, a move to win back Hindu community who now seems to be influenced with RSS ideologies and have become ardent followers of BJP party

During the Gujarat elections campaigning, Rahul had visited several temples in various towns and villages of the State while in Karnataka, Rahul has visited the Lingayat mutts, which provide a huge vote support to the saffron party BJP.

Ever Since Modi had slammed Congress party with anti-Hindu allegations, Rahul is working on strongly projecting the party as a Hindu party by invoking religion as a reply to Modi’s allegations.

“India is a country of faith and faith stands on truth. To truth alone we bow our heads in temples, mosques, churches, gurdwaras… Our PM gives speech after speech wherever he goes, but there is no truth in it,” Rahul stated in the event.
