After hubbub, Cong. invites Pranab Mukherjee to Iftar party

New Delhi: After much hullaballoo, Congress sent the invitation to former President and former Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee which was accepted as well. In a tweet in charge Congress media department, Randeep Singh Surjewala informed that the controversy has ended.

Reports were making rounds two days ago that the high command had decided not to invite Pranab Mukherjee to the Iftar party to be hosted by Rahul Gandhi for attending RSS event. However, Rahul Gandhi doesn’t want any kind of controversy in the Iftar party hence he invited Pranab Mukherjee.

Arrangement for Maghrib prayer is being made on the day of Iftar party which will be offered in a big hall which will be led by Imam of Jama Masjid of parliament Maulana Muhibbullah Nadvi. Leaders of nearly 18 to 19 political parties will attend the Iftar party.

Muslim MLAs NSUI and Muslim officials of Youth Congress from the entire India, minority leaders of all other parties, Vice Chancellors of Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia and Hamdard University, professors, writers, Muslim scholars have been invited for the party to give the impression that the Congress sticks to its past policy of secular agenda.
