After Gurugram, namaz disrupted in Gulshan masjid of Mehrauli

New Delhi: After Gurugram, namaz was disrupted in Mehrauli area in Delhi. Namaz is not being offered for the past 3 days. A complaint has been lodged with the police, however, no action has been taken against anyone so far.

According to sources, some anti-social elements barged into the Gulshan masjid located at Mehrauli and misbehaved with the Imam. They tore off the prayer mat and calendar. Meanwhile a number a crowd gathered at the masjid and demanded action against the anti-social elements. The locals say that anti-social elements create chaos in the masjid on a frequent basis. They need to be restrained.

Locals also said that Mehrauli has a historical importance. Communal riots never occurred in the area and people live with love and harmony but some anti-social elements are trying to disrupt the peace of the area. They alleged that last year also some anti-social elements had vandalised the masjid, they misbehaved with the imam and demolished the graves.
