After formation of Telangana, restoration of Hyderabadi culture essential- Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan and others

After the announcement of separate Telangana State, the lofty claims of Seema Andhra rulers for Sabotaging its formation testifies to the fact that during the past 6 decades they have meted out injustices to the people of Telangana. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily expressed these thoughts while addressing the 82nd colloquium of Telangana Resource Center under the title “Our Hyderabad and Our Responsibilities” yesterday. He told that the Andhra ruler did not leave any scope for affecting the culture of Telangana, especially the Ganga Jamuna culture of the city of Hyderabad. Whether it is arrest of Mr. L. Rajagopal and later shifting him to Falaknuma Police Station or similar other incidents depict the conspiracy of Andhra ruler through which they wanted to disturb atmosphere but our culture and our unity foiled their evil designs.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali further told in addition to Andhra rulers and Capitalists, there are other forces which are opposing Telangana. They have apprehensions that after the formation of Telangana the percentage of Muslim population and the proportion of Daliths and Backward classes would increase and they would emerge as new political forces. Citing an example of a secret meeting organized by RSS Chief in which it was declared that Muslims would emerge as a new political force, so RSS decided not to support Telangana. He also told that Congress is also not showing interest in the formation of Telangana State for its vested interest. All hopes of sympathy from the Congress Party are out of question. When Congress Party felt political advantage in the formation of separate Telangana, its CWC declared the formation of separate Telangana State. Even after the declaration of formation of separate Telangana State, Andhra leaders who were ‘hand and glove’ with each other got united to oppose Telangana. Today Reddy, Rao, Kamma and Kapu all of them are trying ‘tooth and nail’ to keep the Headquarters of A.P. under their control.

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan pointed out that the time has come now for us to prepare a list of the ‘snakes of the cuffs ‘ and formulate the future course of action by constituting a ‘ think tank’ so that the evil designs of the opponents of Telangana could be foiled. It will help us to get the status of a separate State in the country.

Chairman of Telangana Resource Center, Mr. M.Veda Kumar while addressing the gathering told that Hyderabad is a citadel of the composite Ganga Jamuna culture and Telangana region is like an Ambassador of communal harmony and brotherhood. He further told that historical monuments, natural resources and culture are our heritage which is being ruined for fulfilling the personal interests of the Andhra rulers. It is essential such practices should be stopped. He pointed out that mountains and tanks which are our cultural heritage have been destroyed, even our architectural heritage also suffered a lot. He told that after the formation of Telangana State, it is essential to start a campaign for the restoration of the culture of Hyderabad.

Maulana Hamed Mohammed Khan, President of Movement for Peace and Justice in his address told that Congress is the most untruth worthy party. We should believe it until Telangana bill gets assent from the President of India. He also demanded the Central Govt. to present Telangana Bill in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament. Referring to the Iftar Party hosted by Telangana Resource Center, he said that the Chairman of the Center has set an example of common culture of Hyderabad by inviting people belonging to various religion and Hyderabadi culture. Politicians spread hatred but the Asafia rulers and Kings of Qutub Shahi Dynasty who ruled this region for centuries never spread hatred. On this occasion, he cited the example of Maharaja Sir Kishan Pershad, who served as Prime Minister of Hyderabad State under two Asifjahi kings.
Maulana Syed Tariq Qadri, former member of A.P. State Minorities Commission Mr. Abhay Naag, Ajay Borugula and other addressed the gathering. Prof. Anwar Khan, Mr. Khalid Rasool Khan, Mr. Sadaullah Khan, Maulana Syed Abdul Qadir Qadri (Waheed Pasha), Mr. Hayath Hussain Habeeb, Mr. Sajid Khan, Mr. D.B. Reddy, Dr. Sham Prasad, Mr. Aslam Abdur Rahman and a large number of Telangana Supporters attended the meeting.
