Vadodara, October 24: Just a day before the start of the series opener against Australia, India’s preparation received another blow when left-handed opener Gautam Gambhir injured himself while batting during a nets session here today.
According to reports, Gambhir injured his head during practice, after which he had to quit the nets session.
Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also hurt himself while batting in a practice session when he was hit on the backside of the left knee off a Munaf Patel delivery.
However, Dhoni attended that practice session today, indicating the fact of his injury not being serious and he is likely to feature in the first ODI of seven-match series to be played here tomorrow.
