New Delhi: Agence France-Presse (AFP) chief photographer Shah Marai and three other journalists are among 21 killed in the recent twin suicide blast in Afghanistan’s Kabul city on Monday.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals with some of them currently in critical condition according to Afghanistan’s Health Ministry spokesperson Wahid Majroh, NN reported.
The spokesperson added the death toll could increase in number since most of the injured persons are in critical condition in hospital.
Last week a similar blast was targeted at voter registration centres in Kabul and Baghlan provinces of Afghanistan which had claimed 63 lives.
While on April 22, more than 100 people were injured whilst 57 people were killed at an ID distribution centre after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entry gate.
In another blast six people belonging to one family were killed after the vehicle they were travelling struck a roadside bomb that was planted near a voting centre in Pul-e-Khumri city of Baghlan.
