Kabul, October 18: According to the statement, the body of the Afghan prisoner was found in a small prison room on Sunday.
The cause of the prisoner’s death is not known yet and US-led foreign troops have launched an investigation into the matter.
The Afghan prisoner was among a group of suspects detained several days ago in Afghanistan’s Kandahar Province.
Afghan prisoners are held under unfavorable conditions in prisons of NATO throughout Afghanistan.
