New Delhi: The Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Council of the Ministers of Afghanistan Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, who is on a five-day trip to India, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday.
Abdullah is primarily visiting India to attend a conference on counter-terrorism in Jaipur on Tuesday. The event is being organised by India Foundation in association with Sardar Patel University of Police Security and Criminal Justice.
Abdullah will deliver an address at the counter-terrorism conference, which will be attended by President Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.
Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar is also expected to deliver a special lecture at the conference.
Abdullah is also expected to meet National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on the sidelines of the conference, before he leaves for Kabul on Wednesday. Both Pathankot and Mazar-e-Sharif attacks will be discussed between the two. (ANI)
