Faizabad(UP), March 23: Enraged against the inaction of local authorities here over the suicide case of a junior engineer of Ayodhya Faizabad Development Authority, AFDA functionaries today announced to go on an indefinite strike.
Joined with engineers of other departments, AFDA junior engineers staged a protest at the office of Faizabad SSP, demanding an immediate lodging of FIR against AFDA Vice Chairman R K Singh, who allegedly led Anup Vajpayee (45) to commit suicide on Monday.
Singh was not only threatening Vajpyee but the whole staff of AFDA was under his threat as he used to work as a dictator, said SK Arora, the District President of junior engineers union.
Vajpayee?s wife Rekha Rani has accused Singh of harassing, humiliating and inciting her husband for suicide.
Though the state government has transferred Singh to Transport Department, but till today no FIR has been lodged by the Faizabad police against him.
