Bangalore, November 16: Continuing their protest against P D Dinakaran, a section of senior advocates today said they would not accept cases that require them to appear before the Karnataka High Court chief justice who is facing land grabbing charges.
“We have decided not to accept any brief hereafter, which requires our appearance before the honourable chief justice, until a final decision is taken on the allegations against him,” the advocates said in a signed statement here.
Signatories to the statement included former advocate general V Narasimha Murthy and B Acharaya and Pramila Nesargi, former chairperson of the Karnataka Commission for Women and Senior Advocates, D N Nanjunda Reddy and Ravi Naik.
President of Advocates Association, Bangalore Putte Gowda said the AAB would continue to “mount pressure” in different ways till their demand that Justice Dinakaran abstain from hearing cases till his name is cleared, is met.
