Suggestions and proposals were sought to make the programmes of Deccan Radio interesting and to include people belonging to various walks of life in the programmes. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan Managing editor Siasat addressing the consultation meet said ‘Urdu is a sweet language however Urdu knowing people don’t value it.’ He further said that several national television channels telecast interesting programmes in Urdu. Mr. Abid Siddiqui suggested that various social and literary activities can be presented under the head ‘Shahernama’.
Baqar Mirza proposed to include persons belonging to different fields of life in the programmes of Deccan Radio. Mr. Zahed Farooqui threw light on the various programmes aired on Deccan Radio.
Sardar Nanak Singh Nashtar, Abid Siddiqui, Baqar Mirza, Munawwar Ali Mukhtasar, Mahboob Husain Azad, Masihuddin Laeeq, Bhasker Bini advocate, Suprashanti, M A Hameed, Safa, Md. Muneer, Sridhar, Md. Khalid, Heena, Yasmeen participated in the programme and gave suggestions.
