Indore, April 25: India’s top cueist Pankaj Advani registered an easy victory but compatriot Manan Chandra bit the dust in the Asian Snooker Championship at the Yeshwant Club here today.
Advani defeated Mangolia’s Sergelen Batdelger 4-0 (86-22, 119-08, 75-51, 64-21) in a Group B match.
In the Group C, third seed Manan lost to Pakistan’s Mohammad Shahid Aftab 2-3 (15-85, 34-64, 37-58, 64-36, 57-34, 38-57).
Another Indian Aditya Mehta defeated Japan’s Satoshi Nakamura 4-0 (84-02, 97-06, 79-14, 65-22).
Top seed in the tournament, Pakistan’s Mohammad Sajjad and Thailand’s Passacorn Suvannavat also won their matches in their respective groups.
