Admission in Pharmacy now on the basis of XII marks

Jaipur, July 21: Rajasthan University of Health Science (RUHS) will now give admission in pharmacy courses on the basis of marks obtained in XII exams from this year. The decision to abolish pre-pharmacy test is taken in a meeting held in presence of Dean, faculty of Pharmacy and officials of central admission committee.

The central admission committee will ask to fill option form for taking admission in degree or diploma in pharmacy. The committee has B.P. Nagori as chairman, Prof. Subhash Pant as advisor, Dr. Rakesh Gupta as coordinator and six more members. For getting admission in both the courses the candidate must have physics, chemistry with either biology, Maths, computer science or biotechnology in XII.

The minimum age of the student should be 17 years on December 31, 2009. Pre-pharmacy test was made mandatory from last two years. Admissions were given on the basis of pre-pharmacy tests. Pre-pharmacy test was conducted by Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota in 2007 and Rajasthan University of Health Science in 2008.
