Job Description
– Database Admin-L2 (L2) :
Database Admin – A fully contributing team member who performs database management tasks such as meeting user access requirements and resolving their problems. Responsible for ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly. Writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary with some general supervision. Front-line interaction with users to assist with escalated trouble-shooting requirements.
– DB2 Application Admi (L1) :
DB2 Application Admin – Understanding of Database Architecture Concepts Awareness on Application DBA Basics Ability to understand Basic DB Administration Ability to understand DB Administration Tools Working Knowledge of database specific data movement tools
– DB2 UDB Admin (L1) :
DB2 UDB Admin – Have Knowledge on UDB DB2 Database Architecture ( Physical Database Structure, Logical Database Structure, Memory Structures, Background process etc), SQL Commands, Basic system views Be able to identify and kill UDBDB2 session (by identifying the process, spid).
– Startup and Shutdown Database and Instance Monitor Diagnostic Logs, Scheduled Jobs. Monitor the disk space inthe server and take action accordingly Troubleshoot Temp table space issues, Monitor CPU Load of the Server. Understand how connectivity is established between client and server.”
– Infra Trouble shooti (L2) :
Infra Trouble shooting and Operations – Independently working on escalated and complex troubleshooting issues in IT infra area . Able to handle technical and team operations
