Additional staff engaged to sort out Shaadi Mubarak Scheme applications

A special report was published in Siasat on March 11 regarding Minority Welfare Department’s failure in effective implementation of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme which stated that lack of staff and cumbersome procedure have resulted in unusual delay in sorting out the applications.

The report had an impact and Minority Welfare Department has engaged the services of Executive Directors and other staff of Urdu Academy and Minority Finance Corporation to sort out the applications. According to sources Mr. Jalaluddin Akber taking into consideration the lack of staff in sorting out the applications, engaged the services of staff of other departments running under Minority Welfare and it is likely that a considerable number of applications will be sorted out till March end.

It must be noted that 1460 applications have been received from Hyderabad of which 700 have been finalised. Special Officer Waqf Board and Director Minority Welfare Department Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akber directed his subordinates to complete the scrutiny at the earliest.
