Hyderabad, August 27: The additional quota given to Chairman Andhra Pradesh state Hajj Committee by Central Hajj committee is synonymous to insult of the state. The additional quota allotted to Chairman Andhra Pradesh state Hajj Committee, Mr. Khaleeluddin Ahmed comprises of only 5 seats, while earlier during the period of Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed and Mr. Ghous Mohiuddin the central Hajj committee used to hand over additional quota in scores, to the Chairmen so that by using their powers it was easy for them to send, their close friends and those influential citizens who approach Hajj committee with recommendations, to the Holy pilgrimage.
Following the reports of irregularities during the last year, the central Hajj committee taking strict measures has included all the applications in waiting list and this time only 5 seats have been allotted to Chairman Hajj committee in the name of additional quota. Hajj committee authorities feel that with this act the central Hajj committee has insulted Chairman Andhra Pradesh state Hajj Committee.
A delegation met Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Ahmedullah and MLC Mr. Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed and urged them to make representation for the allotment of additional quota.
