New York, March 21 (ANI): Long Island Rail Road riders are fuming over a “vulgar” ad that’s featured inside 200 trains and promotes popular vaginal-tightening exercises, complaining that it’s inappropriate for public sites.
The Long Island Rail Road (reporting mark LI) or LIRR is a commuter rail system serving the length of Long Island, New York, stretching from Manhattan to the easternmost tip of Suffolk County, New York.
“Ladies, admit it. You’re doing kegels right now,” reads the poster from Veria Living, a TV channel that promotes living a healthy lifestyle, according to the New York Post.
Kegel exercises are practised by some women to tone up after childbirth.
“This is vulgar, gross and inappropriate for public sites,” a rider complained.
But the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, MTA, said it does not violate its ad policies.
“As a public agency, we’re not at liberty to pick and choose what ads we carry based on content. Provided that an ad adheres to our basic advertising standards, it must be posted,” a spokesman said. (ANI)
