Lucknow: Noted Actress Malika Rajput has resigned from the saffron party over Unnao and Kathua rapes.
The actress said a party that would promote, encourage Hindu-Muslim or Dalit riots cannot be trusted for its hatred and that she no longer feels safe within the party.
The actress was an active member of Maharashtra’s BJP youth’s wing group.
Considering the saffron party as honest, the actress had joined the party but looking at BJP’s hypocrisies over various rape cases and its atrocities against women, Muslim communities, Dalit communities, weaker sections, the actress no longer felt safe staying in the party.
The actress is hoping to get back to Congress party later sometime.
