Stating that the Telangana State government has made good arrangements for the Krishna Pushkaralu, Telugu cine actor Srikanth said he had pushkar bath for the first time in his life. He had pushkar bath at Rangapuram pushkar ghat in Pebberu mandal of Mahbubnagar district on Sunday.
Speaking to the media later, Srikanth said he didn’t face any problem to reach the pushkar ghat. He said service of the officials and volunteers was good. He congratulated the Telangana government for making huge arrangements.
On the third day of pushkaralu, hundreds of devotees queued up for holy pushkar bath. The devotees thronged ghats since 5 am on Sunday. The pushkar ghats in Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar were filled with devotees. The devotees’ number was high where temples were located in the two districts. The devotees were seen in large numbers at Beechupally, Somasila in Mahbubnagar district and Mattapally, Nagarjunasagar, Vadapally, the meeting point of Krishna and Musi rivers, in Nalgonda district. Thousands of people had pushkar bath and offered special pujas to the river Krishnamma.
The police made special security arrangements at the pushkar ghats. (NSS)
