Actor Rajpal Yadav convicted in Rs 5 crore loan case

New Delhi: Karkardooma Court has convicted Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav on Friday in Rs 5 crore loan recovery case filed by a Businessman.

The Court had convicted the actor and his wife for not paying back the loan amount he took from Delhi based businessman MG Agarwal for his Hindu debut directional movie ‘Ata Pata Lapata’ in 2010, Zee news reports.

The sentencing is set for April 23 said the sources. The Delhi based businessman moved the High court after the actor and his wife failed to repay the loan amount.

Yadav was remanded to a 10-day judicial custody back in 2013 for concealing the facts of the case. The court had then ordered attachment of his assets including bank accounts of the duo.

The judge also took contempt against two women lawyers representing the duo along with an oath commissioner for submitting a forged affidavit.
