Though the situation in old city has restored to normalcy but the activities of police informers and Mayatri committees are still continued who want to curry favor with high police officials by entrapping innocent youth by one way or other. These days patrolling of police informers and Mayatri members in the old city is continued they have even formally formed their pickets.
In connection with the incidents occurred during recent days in the city, police has arrested a number of youth including innocent youngsters and more are likely to be arrested thanks to the informers. The police informers and Mayatri members take rounds of old city after 11 pm. They gather at important crossroads in the form of pickets and keep watch of every passerby. Due to the activities of these informers local youth are living in a state of terror. They also undertake videography through their mobile phones in the darkness of night.
Surprisingly these informers are active only in Muslim predominant areas which raises the question are youth of minority predominant areas miscreants? Police has given them a free run, taking advantage of which they threaten youth to implicate in cases and extort huge money from them.
