Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said that an action plan for agriculture will be launched on March 1.
“An action plan for agriculture would be launched on March 1 with thrust on modernisation with best practises. It would be a vision for agriculture in the state,” Naidu said on his return from Davos where he took part in the World Economic Forum.
“My vision includes modernisation of cultivation from sowing to harvest and post harvest and by providing networking of markets with public and private partnership,” he said here.
About his visit to Davos, the Chief Minister said he interacted with many national and international industrialists and invited them to invest in the state.
According to the Chief Minister, some of the agro-based industries are “willing” to set up their units in the state.
The agriculture scenario in the state would be more attractive and remunerative with the support of agro-based industries, he said.
“About 20 or 25 corps would be brought under the network and (my) vision is to transform the Rayalaseema (region) as an international hub of horticulture,” Naidu added.
