Departments of Police and Transport Authority have decided to take action against the vehicles which have temporary registration in order to dispose of the cases. Initially, action would be taken against the vehicles which have not taken permanent registration but continuing with TR numbers. According to the statistics available with Transport Department has nearly 52000 vehicles which have not been registered permanently. According to the regulations of the RTA, all the newly purchased vehicles should be registered within a month. If it is not done, fine could be imposed. Departments of Police and RTA want to take action against such vehicles in order to minimize road accidents. The unregistered vehicles include nearly 45, 763 two wheelers and 4, 491 tractors.
