Hyderabad, February 21: Endowment Minister G Venkata Reddy assured the Legislative Assembly today that the government would order a probe into the alleged corruption by former endowment commissioner Sundar Kumar if the members submitted specific allegations.
Responding to A Vivekananda Reddy’s (Cong) allegations during question hour, the minister said that the government would take criminal action against those who misappropriated temple funds.
The Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada had Rs 70.39 crore in fixed deposits, of which Rs 28.59 crore were withdrawn and spent on various works, he said.
ARCHAKA BHAVAN: The endowment minister said in reply to Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao (Cong) that the government would complete construction of Archaka Samkshema Bhavan at Barakatpura in the capital within a year.
