Hyderabad, February 01: Police arrested 55 money lenders from the old city area. They have been released on bail. It is a temporary arrangement. The evil of money laundering and lending is like cancer which is on the increase day by day.
On the one hand, police is giving an impression that they have arrested the money lenders in large numbers and on the other hand, they are trying to create an impression before their higher ups that the police is actively engaging in eradicating this evil which is ruining the lives of many poor persons. The atrocities of the money lenders, and people involved in “Matka” business can’t flourish without the patronage of the “Respected Personalities”.
If the police is sincere in its efforts, it should arrest the kingpin of all such irregular activities.
