Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu today said the party workers should play key role as a bridge between the government and the party.
Chandrababu Naidu spoke with 7,000 party workers through a tele-conference held from his camp office here. The TDP supremo asked party workers and leaders to participate actively in relief works at Nellore and Chittoor districts which experienced heavy rains leading to floods. “The party will support if you work and help those who are in distress,” he said.
The Chief Minister asked party activists to join Janachaitanya yatra in other districts to make it a grand success. All workers right from village level, MLAs, MLCs, ministers and politburo members should join the yatra without fail, he added. He called upon party cadre and leaders to create awareness among the people about the government’s schemes like old age pension which increased by five times, pension to handicapped, distribution of four kg rice and five kg pulses through PDS, waiving of farmers loans, river interlinking plan, industrialization and so on.
The Chief Minister also asked his party men to propagate about the “Niru-Chettu” program, which is aimed at making Andhra Pradesh a drought-free State. Naidu also said grading would be given to workers and leaders on the basis of their performance in Janachaitanya yatra program. He also asked party MPs and those who are in Union cabinet to participate in the program. (NSS)
