Dehra Dun, January 06: A mystic, who was arrested on the charge of throwing acid on a Spanish woman, was remanded in judicial custody today.
Rajgiri running an ashram here, was arrested on Monday for allegedly injuring foreigner Gloria Kasnovat (44), who was staying with him.
He was produced before a magistrate at Tehri district, who remanded him in 14-day judicial custody, police said.
The foreigner was staying with him for over two years and was teaching yoga at an ashram.
Gloria was on her way to the ashram in an autorickshaw along with the accused after returning from Kathmandu when the incident took place.
The two had quarrelled over some issue after which Rajgiri allegedly poured acid on Gloria, who received injuries in her face and hands.
