Nalgonda, September 22: A murder accused was stabbed to death by a co-accused on the premises of the Sessions court in Miryalaguda in the district on Tuesday. The victim’s alleged affair with the wife of the co-accused led to the killing.
The deceased, B Kondaiah (35) and the assailant, Khaja Moinuddin, were accused in the murder of one Muthaiah. People in the court and the police tried to catch Khaja after the attack but he managed to escape.
Kondaiah, Moinuddin and two other accused in the case, Ramesh and Moulaali, came to appear in the Sessions court today.
Kondaiah was accompanied by Moinuddin’s second wife Parveen. Moinuddin flew into a rage on seeing them together and, after a heated argument, attacked Kondaiah with a knife. It is learnt that Parveen deserted Moinuddin when he forced her into prostitution. She even lodged a complaint with the police and had since been living with Kondaiah in Halia. Moinuddin reportedly bore a grudge against Kondaiah and warned him of dire consequences if he continued his relationship with Parveen.
SP Rajesh Kumar said Moinuddin was a history-sheeter involved in several crimes in the district. Kondaiah, who was from Hill Colony at Nagarjuna Sagar, had shifted to Halia with Parveen.
