Muzaffanagar (UP), September 14: An accused in a murder case, who was to appear in a court today, was found dead in a village in the district.
Rajiv was found murdered in Ahlawalpur village and a case against unidentified persons has been lodged in this connection, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shivram Yadav said.
Meanwhile, the court has postponed the hearing to October 4 in the Chaudhry Jagbir Singh murder case.
Singh, who was also the national president of Rashtriya Kisan Morcha, was shot dead in Ahlawatpur village on September 6, 2003.
Three persons, including Rajiv, were booked in this connection.
Singh’s son, Yograj, is an eyewitness and complainant in the case.
