Hisar: A rape convict has been awarded 10 years prison time for raping a 14-year-old Class X student by the Additional district and sessions judge Dr Pankaj.
The judge also directed him to pay Rs 2,000 as fine, TOI reports.
The Hisar police have registered a rape case against four accused based on rape survivor victim’s complaint on June 8, 2017.
The police later discharged three accused from the case during the investigation but the court held them accused during the trial.
The three managed to obtain a stay from the high court against this decision while the trial is still pending against them.
The rape victim, in her statement before the magistrate, said she on the day of the incident she was on her way to work in her cattle corral where the four youths from the village have arrived.
The three accused caught her while the youth raped her when the victim’s father saw this he immediately rushed to her help.
The accused fled the scene when the girl’s father arrived, but one of the mobile phones of the accused fell on the spot.
Senior advocate Lal Bahadur Khowal said that Police has discharged the three accused during the investigation of this case, but they were later involved in the case after the public prosecutor appealed during the trial.
The trio later went ahead and obtained a stay order against the court who involved them in the case.
