State Information & Public Relations Commissioner Navin Mittal has said accreditations will be given to all journalists without linking empanelment of the newspaper/news channels/news agencies.
Navin Mittal gave this assurance on Tuesday when Telangana Journalists JAC leaders met him and explained about the problems being faced by them.
Speaking to the media later, the JAC leaders N Purushotham, Kasani Srinivasrao, Maheshuni Laxmaiah, B Venkat said the I&PR Commissioner asked the journalists to apply for accreditations. The Commissioner also said that he would direct the DPROs to take the applications without empanelment certificate. The Commissioner also said the scribes have to lodge a complaint with him in case the DPROs refuse to receive applications and no journalist will be meted out injustice in this regard, they said and urged the journalists to apply for accreditations immediately.
