Accidents on ORR can be prevented with Govt efforts

As many as 37 accidents occurred on the ORR during the last six months, Home Minister informed the State assembly.

Minister said that more vehicles and staff need to be added to the existing patrolling to improve enforcement. More signage boards giving information about speed limits, lane driving, direction, etc must be provided to prevent the accidents.

A joint initiative of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Cyberabad Traffic Police was launched on January 18 this year, wherein five vehicles were provided by HMDA and staff was provided by Cyberabad and Medak police. These vehicles were patrolling the stretch between Gachibowli and Pedda Amberpet, said the Home Minister during the questioning hours.
