Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed around Rs 10 crore worth assets on Thursday from a suspended sub-registrar TV Ramesh Chandra Reddy.
Ramesh was suspended in illegal land registrations scam. The ACB conducted search at his residence and at those of his relatives in Hyderabad city and at other places early morning.
The day long search revealed that the government revenue officer acquired properties in his name and in the names of his family members and Benamis.
The ACB found a flat at Kothapet worth Rs 6.6 lakh, another at Nagole worth Rs 60 lakh, land in Kesaram worth around Rs 30 lakh, plot in Karmanghat and two acres of land at Raigir worth Rs 25 lakh were found.
They also seized three and a half kg gold worth Rs 65 lakh along with bank balances over Rs One crore, household articles worth Rs 3.5 lakh and fixed deposits worth Rs 30 lakh.
Telangana anti-corruption bureau, which is probing irregularities in land registrations in the state is conducting raids on the sub-registrars who are involved in the multi-crore land scam.
