Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday issued notice to TDP Activists’ Welfare Fund coordinator Nara Lokesh’s car driver Kondal Reddy in connection with Cash-for-Vote scam.
The agency asked Kondal Reddy to appear before it for interrogation with regard to Cash-for-Vote scam case.
It may be recalled that already ACB sleuths questioned TTDP leader Revanth Reddy, Sebastian, Udaysimha, Sattupally TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, TDP MLC candidate Vem Narender Reddy and his son Krishna Keerthan Reddy, Gimmy Babu and others. It is learnt that two ACB officials visited AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s house to question Kondal Reddy, one of Lokesh’s convoy drivers, for his link in the case.
As Kondal Reddy was not available at Naidu’s home, the sleuths headed towards TDP party office to enquire about Kondal reddy. Earlier, the ACB officials questioned Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah car drivers in the case. Cash-for-Vote scam case gathered momentum after Forensic Science Lab. sent its final report to the court.
It may be mentioned that principal accused in the case Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy got bail after spending nearly one month in jail. ACB moved the Supreme Court pleading for cancellation of High Court’s bail order. However, it received a setback when the apex court dismissed its appeal while upholding the order of the lower court. Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB when he was handing over Rs 50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson on May 31 to make him vote for TDP-BJP candidate in Telangana Legislative Council elections.
