ACB notices will bend Naidu’s neck: Talasani; Sec. 8 unwarranted: Tummala

Upping the ante against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for pretending law and order problem in Hyderabad, Telangana Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Tummala Nageshar Rao today lashed out at the former saying that he will soon receive notices on his involvement in the cash-for-vote scam. They slammed Naidu for trying to rake up Section 8 of APRA with an intention to escape from the noose of the bribery scam.
Addressing separate media conferences at Secretariat here on Tuesday, they said the notices would bend the neck of Naidu to face the case. “We have respect for the law and judiciary and the law would take its own course”, they added. Dubbing Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy team as thieves in cash-for-vote scam, they said the Telangana government was not afraid of Naidu’s rhetoric on Section 8, who is just making mockery of democracy, they alleged.
Though Revanth Reddy is behind bars, Naidu was trying to escape from the noose, they ridiculed. There is no question of going back as ACB will slap a notice on Naidu soon after the Forensic Lab furnishes its report on the purported audio tapes of Naidu’s voice, they said. The TDP was adopting unethical practices only to belittle democracy, they deplored. Just for the sake of dirty politics, Chandrababu was resorting to unholy skirmishes with TRS Government, they said. “Chandrababu is deliberately provoking the people as his blood has cunning nature”. Their remarks assume importance as the Centre was keenly observing the issue while Supreme Court judge Justice Chalameshwar called on Governor ESL Narasimhan on Monday and said to have spoken on the cash scam and ACB’s preparedness to issue notices to Naidu, it is learnt.
It may be noted here that Naidu had his say in the appointment of judges at the national and State level. Referring to Naidu’s clout at Delhi level being an ally of Narendra Modi’s BJP Government, they said the law will take its own course. (NSS)
