Andhra Pradesh Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today filed the second charge sheet in cash-for-bail scam involving mining baron and former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy against seven people including two Karnataka legislators. The charge sheet was filed in the ACB special court by the agency against two suspended district judges T Prabhakar Rao (current in judicial custody) and K Lakshminarasimha Raothree besides naming Gali Janardhan Reddy, Karnataka legislators -Janardhan Reddy’s brother and Bellary City MLA Gali Somashekhar Reddy and Kampli MLA T H Suresh Babu, Reddy’s relative Dasaratharam Reddy and a realtor Suryaprakash Babu in the bail scam. The ACB had earlier (on August 13) filed its first charge sheet against eight for entering into a conspiracy to strike a bribe deal to facilitate bail for Janardhan Reddy. ACB has named eight accused in its first charge sheet along with Janardhan Reddy’s Brother Gali Soma sekhara Reddy, Dashrathrama Reddy, Kampi MLA Suresh Babu, suspended Judge Pattabhi Rama Rao, his son Ravi Chandra, junior advocate Adithya, rowdy-sheeter Yadagiri and suspended judge Pattabhi Rama Rao. All the accused were arrested and were sent to jail. Court has granted bail to Ravichandra, the son of Pattabhi Rama Rao and to Junior lawyer Adithya who were arrested. However, the Court has dismissed the bail petition of suspended Special CBI judge T Pattabhirama Rao , Karnataka MLAs — Somasekhar Reddy and Suresh Babu, and rowdy sheeter Yadagiri, who are currently lodged in Cheralapally Central jail here in the same case.
