The Anti Corruption Bureau court at Nampally in the city today dismissed the bail petition of Nunna Venkata Ramana, the alleged kingpin of liquor syndicate. The court also deferred till March 13 hearing on the bail petitions of Khammam district Deputy excise commissioner Mr Narsimha Rao and excise officials Madhusudhan Rao, Sankaraiah and Sarweswara Nath who have allegedly joined hands with the liquor syndicate leaders. Nunna’s bail petition was dismissed by the ACB Court second time.
The court also dismissed the bail petitions of liquor syndicate leaders from Yemmiganur in Kurnool district. The ACB officials have arrested Nunna Venkataraman in connection with liquor syndicate scam. Meanwhile, the sleuths of ACB officials have also intensified the searches at various districts in the state today and seized several documents related to the scam. For the second time in a span of two months, ACB officials raided the excise department offices at various places including Vizianagaram district , where Transport Minister and PCC P{resident Botcha Satyanarayana’s family members running huge liquor shops.
