Anti Corruption Bureau Director General D Boobathi Babu on Saturday denied media reports that he was planning to go on long leave expressing displeasure over the government’s decision to transfer ACB Joint Director K Sreenivasa Reddy to Coastal Security.
Talking to media persons, Boobathi Babu said that he was not going on leave and attending duties as usual after the transfer of officials. “As per the rules, I pursued with the government over the transfer of official,” he said and appealed the media not to magnify this issue by linking it with others.
Boobathi reiterated that the ACB would continue its full-fledged investigations into the liquor syndicates sincerely and would not spare anyone involved in the scam. “The probing agency will not spare anyone and book cases against them if it gets substantial evidence in connection with case,” he said.
The ACB chief said that various media reports on the liquor scam would definitely impact the functioning of the ACB. (INN)
