ACB arrests two Govt Employees, one Pvt person

Two state government employees and a private person were arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials in two separate cases on charges of corruption.

Before the arrest, a senior Assistant working at RTA office at Attapur in R.R. District and a private person were caught red handed by the A.C.B. officials at the office, when they demanded and accepted an amount of Rs. 30,000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour i.e. “for handing over Clearance Certificate and RC Book pertaining to the Bus of the complainant ”.

In another case, a District Vocational Education Officer of Guntur District (who is in-charge of Guntur and Prakasam districts) was caught red-handed by the ACB sleuths when he accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 4,000 from a Jr Lecturer, who is the complainant, for doing an official favour of sending the Service Register of the complainant to the new place of posting, a release from ACB said.(NSS)
