ACB arrests BDO for accepting bribe

Bikaner: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths have arrested a block development officer for allegedly accepting a bribe from a village head in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan.

BDO Mohan Singh Godara, posted at Bhadra Panchayat Samiti, had demanded the bribe from Subhash Beniwal, the head of Musari panchayat, for some official work, Deputy SP of ACB Ramesh Machra said.

After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was arrested red-handed in his office, Machra said, adding the accused has been charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
