ABVP protests outside Delhi Police headquarters

New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists on Wednesday protested outside the Delhi Police headquarters here at alleged police inaction against those who raised anti-India slogans at the JNU last year.

The protesters demanded action against the culprits.

“It has been over a year now and no police action has been taken. Even a chargesheet has not been filed against members of leftist student parties and others on the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus who raised anti-India slogans,” ABVP media Cconvener Saket Bahuguna told IANS.

“We also want police to act against students who raised anti-national slogans outside Ramjas college on February 22,” Bahuguna said.

“Such anti-national students are moving freely and are now misusing the Delhi University campus for raising anti-India slogans. They should be put behind bars immediately,” the ABVP leader said.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police Special Commissioner Deependra Pathak said police are still examining video footage of the JNU campus event and action will be taken accordingly.
