Abu Dhabi, November 06: The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) has launched a new photography competition for young talents aged 16-21 year-old.
The competition is open for all residents in UAE to encourage youngsters to practice the art of photography which is an important factor of cultural and artistic movement.
The theme of the competition is open for all kind of pictures with new ideas.
Participation in the competition is free and fallows the terms and conditions of Emirates Photography Competition; best picture nominees will compete on the competition main prizes.
“Launching this competition is part of ADACH five year strategies that aims to turn Abu Dhabi into international hub for culture and arts,” said Badr Al Numani, Director of the competition.
“Also the competition is one of ADACH efforts to support the national identity and preserve the heritage, in the same time the competition aims to upgrade the technical level of young talents by providing them with the latest development in the world of photography and display art works that reflects new trends in photography movement in UAE,” he added.
The competition will examine photographer’s skills to pick the subject of their images; light spread, photo angel, clarity, artistic vision, the aim of the image, attention and the use of technology.
Participants in the competition have to apply through the competition’s website and the prizes will be given for the three first winners.
