Hyderabad, November 16: Special crime investigation team on Tuesday arrested Mohammad Abbas who had links with Mujeeb Ahmed of Hizbul Mujahideen.
Sources said that Mohammad Abbas served as aircraftsman in Indian air force from 1987 to 1993 and during his service he had allegedly visited Pakistan and Bangladesh for spying and met the Pakistani Military officials and ISI officials there and provided them important information regarding Indian air force. Abbas was arrested by Jammu Kashmir police in this connection meanwhile he met Mujeeb Ahmed of Hizbul Mujahideen who was arrested in the year 2005 in arms shifting case and a court in Hyderabad had pronounced punishment for him.
Police has claimed that arriving at Hyderabad Mohammad Abbas had met Mujeeb Ahmed and had also gone to Nepal through Pakistani embassy.
Special investigation team was in search of Mohammad Abbas who was absconding and eventually it arrested him on Tuesday.
