Even as a Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court ordered stay of the operation of the judgment of the single Judge quashing the GO 123 meant for acquiring land, the Congress vowed to continue its fight till the GO 123 was abolished.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, former Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha accused the TRS Government of coming out with GO 123 only to deprive farmers of their rights and benefits under the Land Acquisition Act of 2013.
The congress leader said that the party never opposed the construction of projects but found fault with the state government for bypassing the provisions of Land Act 2013 with the GO 123. He demanded the government to abolish the GO and compensate the oustees as per the Land Act 2013 provisions. (INN)
