Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman, A.P. State Minorities Commission will be visiting Nizamabad on 26th June, Adilabad on 27th June and Karimnagar on 28th June. He will conduct review meetings with district collectors and S.P’s. He will try to create an awareness about the utilization of Govt. welfare schemes for minorities. He said that he would arrange a meeting with the officials of SETWIN for making it an active institution. He informed that Dr. Qurathullah Ain and Ms. Prabha Joseph, Members of Minorities commission will visit Nalgonda district to find out the facts about the rape case. They will also meet the family members of Minority community who has been assassinated recently.
He informed that commission has received an application for the extension of parole period of former constable Abdul Qadeer. His period of parole comes to an end on 30th June. He said that he would represent the matter to C.M. for extending the parole period till the end of Ramazan. He told that some staff members have to be appointed in commission’s office. He is also making a representation for the enhancement of Minorities budget.
