Abid Rasool Khan raps Devender Goud for criticizing Aurangzeb

APCC general secretary Abid Rasool Khan today condemned the statement of TDP leader and Rajya Sabha member T. Devender Goud dragging Mughal emperor Aurangazeb’s name while criticizing the Congress government. He said that “great Moghal emperor” is held in high esteem by all the Muslims.

Rasool Khan said that by comparing the Congress rule with that of Aurangzeb has hurt the feelings of Muslims as Aurangzeb was a “great ruler and a pious Muslim, who encouraged education, trade and who himself copied Holy Quran twice by own hand”. Referring to the Congress government in the State led by Kiran Kumar Reddy, Rasool Khan said the government has provided social justice, Minority empowerment, security to one and all and brought about all-round development. Many welfare schemes have been launched and implemented for the poor and the needy, he added.

Kiran Kumar Reddy proved himself to be a clean politician responding to people’s needs and the only leader who dared to go to villages and address the problems of the poor under the Indiramma Baata program, he said. “Especially, his addressing the issues of the tribals is highly appreciated. I demand that Devender Goud withdraw his remarks on Aurangazeb and tender an apology to the Muslims immediately”, he added.
