Hyderabad: During the course of discussions in TS Assembly on giving second official language status to Urdu, the services of late Abid Ali Khan, founder Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and late Mahboob Husain Jigar, Joint Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily were mentioned by MIM MLA, Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi. He said that these personalities had struggled for getting the appropriate status for Urdu language. It is the result of their efforts that Govt. was forced to give second official language status to Urdu.
Mr. Owaisi also mentioned that the services of M. Chenna Reddy, Mr. Salahuddin Owaisi, Dr. Raj Bahadur Gaur and Prabhakar Reddy.
