Abdullah’s anti-national remark is not going to mislead Kashmiris: Nirmal Singh

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Apr. 6 (ANI): Condemning National Conference patriarch Farooq Abdullah for glorifying stone pelters, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh on Thursday said such anti-national remark is not going to mislead the Kashmiri youth.

Singh even said that the National Conference Party is always indulged in such kind of politics, adding that Abdullah made such remarks just for the sake of gaining votes.

“I am sure people of Kashmir aren’t going to get misled by such statements which are anti-human and anti-national. This is encouraging the young people to promote violence,” Singh told ANI.

Earlier, Abdullah triggered a debate, claiming young stones pelting, are sacrificing their lives “for the nation”.

The former Chief Minister’s comments were a response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent comment asking Kashmiri’s to choose between tourism and terrorism.

“I want to tell the Prime Minister that tourism is our life, but the one who is pelting stones is not bothered about tourism. He is ready to starve and die,” Abdullah said. (ANI)
