Itanagar, January 07: Over a month after the abduction of Arunachal Pradesh Mineral Development and Trading Corporation Limited (APMDTCL) official Sanjay Kumar, his family has appealed to his captors to release him while the state police is clueless on his whereabouts.
“There is no news and the motive of abduction is also unclear as there has been no ransom demand so far. We have not found any clue or motive for abduction which has made the entire process complicated,” an investigating officer said today.
Bijay Kumar, the younger brother of the kidnapped official, appealed to those who had held Sanjay Kumar captive, to “release him now on humanitarian ground.
“Our only hope is that he would be released safe and sound. A terrible one month and 14 days rolled by but yet there is no news of my brother”, Kumar said.
Sanjay Kumar was abducted by unidentified persons on November 24 from Kharsang in Changlang district while he was on his way to the mining field.
A native of Chandkudarai village in Chapra, Sanjay Kumar is married and has two small children, who stay with his aged parents in Bihar.
