A 15-year-old girl refuses to live with her biological mother in Nellore district who had abandoned her when she was just one year old.
The girl had been brought up by her father Ravi, an RTC employee and his second wife Ms Sudha whom Mr Ravi, married again after Ms Santhi( Ravi’s first wife) left him.
Things were going as normal until Ravi’s first wife, Santhi (name changed) came on Tuesday to Ravi’s home to get back her daughter and demanded custody of her daughter, after she came to know that the girl’s father had nominees her two daughters for receiving his retirement benefits from the RTC.
According to police Ravi’s second wife, brought up both children lovingly and the girl grew up believing that her step mother was her own mother. When she came to know about it Santhi on Tuesday that she is her actual mother and wanted to get back her. But much to the surprised the girl refuses to go with her biological mother, although Santhi tried her best to convince her that she was her real mother.
However, in a bid to settle the matter sub inspector Venugopal Reddy convinced the girl to talk to the woman in private pointing to the rights of the mother. After the discussion, the girl stubbornly refuses to go with her mother saying “I will be with my step mother as my step mother brought me up and nourished me with love, when my mother left me”.
